Hunters in Texas discover the skeletal remains of a guy who vanished in 2005. Robin Mangrum was 34 years old when he was last seen in Rosharon, an unincorporated area between Brazoria County and Fort Bend County.
Authorities in Texas are requesting assistance from the public after hunters discovered the skeletal remains of a man who had been missing for 17 years. When he was last seen on August 9, 2005, at a convenience shop on FM-1462 in Rosharon, an unincorporated region between Brazoria County and Fort Bend County, Robin Mangrum was 34 years old.
In a forested area at the crossroads of FM-1462 and FM-521 in Rosharon, hunters discovered his bones nearly 15 years later, according to a Facebook post from the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, November 29.
Police analysed two DNA samples from Mangrum’s relatives and forwarded the remains to the Center for Human Identification at the University of North Texas. The University of North Texas provided confirmation that the remains were those of Mangrum on September 7 to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office.
The reason of death was kept a secret by the authorities. Investigators stated that they are still unsure about Mangrum’s exact cause of death. According to Sgt. Clint Lobpries of ABC 13, there is no proof of wrongdoing. According to ABC 13, family members are already making their way back to Brazoria County to get Mangrum’s cremated ashes.
