Young Royals Season 3 on Netflix: Release Date, Cast, Plot & Trailer?

We finally learn how things will completely change in season 3 now that Young Royals 2 has broken all Netflix records. Young Royals is a love story that combines elements of royalty and queer romance, and it has been making the rounds on the internet. It has been what fans have wanted since the beginning, and now that season two is finally up and running, fans want a third season.

Young Royals Season 3 on Netflix: Release Date, Cast, Plot & Trailer?

The fact that we will finally see Wilhelm and Simon together in Young Royals 3 will make it so worth it. Season three’s plot will undoubtedly completely alter this show’s direction, and the storyline won’t be the same. Nevertheless, Simon and Wilhelm’s love will endure throughout everything.

Everything you need to know about the Young Royals Season 3.

When Young Royals season 3 might be out: When can we watch it?

Young Royals’ first two seasons were separated by almost a year and a half, but now that COVID restrictions are over, season three may arrive sooner than season two did. Provided this is true, we could take a gander at the winter 2023 delivery date.

However, this is contingent on the speed with which a third season is announced. Netflix typically decides a show’s future within a month of the start of a new season. If it takes longer, a release date of 2024 is possible.

However, we would be extremely surprised if Young Royals were to be abruptly cancelled. With that cliffhanger, there is much more to explore in a potential third season for the show, which has a huge fan base.

The cast of Young Royals season 3: Who’s in it?

You can anticipate seeing the majority of the following characters return for a third season because Young Royals wouldn’t be the show it is today. Simon, God bless him, is also a Young Royal.

  • Edvin Ryding will play Prince Wilhelm of Sweden
  • Omar Rudberg will play Simon Eriksson
  • Malte Gurdinger will play August of Sweden
  • Frida Argento will play Sara Eriksson
  • Nikita Uggla will play Felice Ehrencrona.

Additionally, they will probably be joined by a supporting cast that includes the following: Beri Gerwise portrays Simon’s friend Rosh, Inti Zamora Sobrado portrays Simon’s friend Ayub, Pernilla August portrays Queen Kristina of Sweden, and Carmen Gloria Pérez portrays Linda, Simon and Sara’s mother. Micke, Simon and Sara’s father, is played by Leonard Terfelt, and Miss Anette Lilja, Hillerska’s headmistress, is played by Ingela Olsson.

Ivar Forsling, who plays Prince Erik, is one important cast member who probably won’t be back. After his death at the ending of season one, Wilhelm’s older brother only made brief appearances in flashbacks during season two, and this trend will likely continue into season three as time goes on.

The plot of Young Royals season 3: What will happen?

The secret love that Simon and Prince Wilhelm of Sweden shared has been the primary focus of Young Royals’ first two seasons. However, Simon started dating a new guy at one point to get over Wil after that betrayal at the end of the first season.

On the other hand, the Prince reveals that he was in that leaked sex tape all along, just as he finally agrees to be Wilhelm’s secret in the season two finale. He is also acknowledging his sexuality and his worldwide love for Simon by stating that.

Simon is similarly, however, as gobsmacked as every regal guide who seems to be spluttering over this stunning development. But what implications does this have for their future?

It looks like Simon and Wilhelm might get to share some happiness out in the open, despite everything being pretty much up in the air. But will it endure? Most likely not, given that the kids enjoy drama.

In addition, August has been named by Sara as the person who initially created and then purposefully leaked the sex tape. He may be detained. Or will the Royal Family shield him despite everything August did to Simon and Wilhelm?

When Digital Spy interviewed Omar Rudberg (Simon), we inquired about his expectations for a potential third season. He responded, ” Because it can go in so many different directions, that is so difficult. I have numerous ideas.”

However, it’s interesting to note that Omar revealed that these thoughts he has would have a direct impact on the show’s third season:

“Me and Lisa Ambjörn, the head writer, we want to sit down and talk about what we see and what we feel, and the ideas, and what’s going to happen in the story.”

Rudberg said, “I feel like it was a lot clearer for me when it came to season two.” It was like, ‘This occurred in season one. In the second season, this may occur.’ It’s like, “Now we’re talking” with season 3. It’s getting real now.’

Omar hopes that Simon and Wilhelm will have a happy ending regardless of what happens, even if it doesn’t last long:

“One thing I want to see is Simon and Wilhelm—will they be content? so that we can taste the love. Being together and unconditional love in its entirety That is something I would like to see”.

Rudberg admits, “It can’t be like that all the time.” It needs to be engaging, and it must jolt the emotions. However, seeing them as “we against the world” is something I am eager to experience. It would be breathtaking to see that.”

However, Young Royals will continue to be Young Royals, so you can safely assume that all the scandals will continue when the show returns for season three (we hope!).
